Everything About Natural Dyed

Natural Dyed

Natural dyes are colorants derived from plants, invertebrates or minerals. Typically, the dye material is put in a pot of water and heated to extract the dye compounds into solution with the water. Then the textiles to be dyed are added to the pot and held at heat until the desired colour is achieved.

Something extremely cool about natural dyes is that many of the ingredients can be found right in your own back yard! Roots, nuts and flowers are just a few common natural ways to get many colours. A visit to the grocery store and you have endless options at your fingertips.
